Christian Middle-Grade Author | Patrick Wilson

I’m a Christian middle-grade author, dad, and faith-builder who still believes in the power of a good story—especially the kind that speaks to the heart and points kids toward something lasting.

The BUG Boys: The Great Scavenger Hunt is my debut novel and the first book in the Brothers Under God series. It’s a Christian adventure designed to meet kids where they are—with humor, heart, and truth they can carry with them. The story follows three boys on a small-town scavenger hunt that leads to something deeper than they expected: friendship, forgiveness, and the reminder that God meets us even when we’re not looking.

Before stepping into fiction, I co-edited The Power of the Word with Luci Tumas—a collection of testimonies from the mission field published by Wycliffe Bible Translators. That experience deepened my conviction that stories—real or imagined—can move hearts and shape lives.

My writing is shaped by a love for Jesus, a passion for storytelling, and a desire to reach the next generation with Christian adventure books that feel real—not preachy or perfect, but honest, engaging, and filled with hope.

I live in Minnesota and enjoy time with my adult children, including serving as a full-time caregiver for my daughter, who continues to inspire much of how I approach life with compassion and perspective. Before writing, I worked with Feed My Starving Children, partnering with churches across the country to help provide meals for starving children around the world.
